By Public Transport The best train service for Pollok Park and Lochinch departs from Glasgow Central to Pollokshaws
West station - trains are relatively frequent during the day (you can check train times here) - journey time is about 10
minutes.
When you come out of the station turn left and a few yards away you will see the entrance to Pollok Park. It's a very
pleasant walk from the entrance to the grounds at Lochinch which should take you about 10- 15 minutes. You may be able
to jump on the courtesy bus from the park entrance to Pollok House but please note this service isn't always available.
Following the park road it's a straight walk with the woods on either side. As you walk you will pass the Pollok Cricket
and Tennis Club and the Strathclyde Police Mounted and Dog Branch on your left. Continue till you come to the open fields
(usually with Highland Cattle). At the junction continue straight ahead with fields on either side. You will pass Pollok House
entrance on your left (if you have taken the courtesy bus this is where you will be dropped off) continue straight on. The
road will then bend to the left and you will come to a 'cross roads' - turn to your right which will take you passed a car
park area (on your left). Continue to follow the road which will bend round to the right. The Lochinch grounds will be
clearly visible after a couple more minutes walking.
